When he heard...
Jesus & his disciples were leaving Jericho & a blind man named Bartimaeus, “when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, began to cry out saying, “Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.”
KEY POINTS:
**When he heard...he believed the things he had heard about Jesus (we must believe His word)
**He cried out ...he did what was needed to get Jesus’ attention - he couldn’t see to go to Jesus so he cried loud! -causing Jesus to stand still! (we cannot be quiet - we must make our needs known to Him - cry out to Him in faith)
**Jesus was ‘leaving’ Jericho (when you think it’s too late or Jesus is too far away & your prayers aren’t answered - cry louder - worship more - praise more - love more!)
v 52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole....
Mk. 10:46 - 52
