The Thirsty Soul:

Isa 41:17  When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.

18  I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.

Isa 55:1  Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters...

John 7:37 ...If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

 

 *When the soul is lacking in joy & strength, there is a thirst that cannot be quenched with carnal, fleshly things. God is faithful to quench our thirst if we will only draw nigh to the well that He has provided for us. If we have been born again, we have this “well of water springing up into everlasting life.” (Jn. 4:14) *Sometimes we might have to go deep to find the refreshing for our soul - but the water is there! Reach for it, stir it up, take it in! Find the Word & the blessing that is deep in that water. Pray & seek God until you are saturated with His loving presence!
