Preparation of the Gospel

Eph. 6:15  And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;     *Your feet are kept from falling, or straying by the ‘preparation’ (or foundation/ establishment) of the gospel > if you protect your “walk’ with Christ by living according to what is taught in the word - you will have peace, not spiritual warfare
 *Paul is drawing from the gear of a Roman soldier. Their sandals were:

  • Fashioned for traction → helped them stand firm in battle

  • Durable for long marches → allowed endurance and mobility

  • *Spiritually:

  • You’re not meant to slip when pressure comes

  • You’re equipped to move forward, not stay stuck

  • This connects directly to standing firm in faith
