Changed:

►Luke 8:43 And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,

44 Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.

45 And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

46 And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.

47 And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him and how she was healed immediately.

48 And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.

►Mark 5:27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

1. She heard about him & his healings

2. She had faith

3. She acted on her faith by making her way to him

*When Jesus felt healing power go out from him, he turned & asked his disciples. “who touched me?” She didn’t wait for an invitation, or for the ‘appropriate’ time to get in his presence. She let her heart take control - not her circumstance - not her flesh. She used all of her strength, all of her faith, not knowing the outcome, but hope was there, driving her, giving her the determination to reach the healer! Oh, that we could be so determined & steadfast in our pursuit of him!

Of course, Jesus knew who had touched him, but he was looking for her to come forward.

She was afraid that she had done something wrong, so she tried to hide & when she saw that she couldn’t hide, she came forward & told all.

*This woman was known as ‘the woman with the issue of blood’ When she came & fell down before him, she was no longer the ‘woman’ she was ‘Daughter.’ Her past was left behind that day...no longer relevant in the eyes of God. When we come to Christ, our past is no longer relevant, our sins are no longer remembered (Heb 10:17...their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.)

*We are no longer known for our past; we are not known as sinners, addicts, haters, thieves, adulterers... we are known as Sons & Daughters of God!

Gen 32:24 And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.

25 And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.

26 And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.

27 And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.

28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

*Jacob means - supplanter (to take the place or position of somebody by force or intrigue) He was a schemer a plotter:

He buys Esau’s birthright when Esau was weak - took the blessing from his father that should have been Esau’s by trickery. But, when he turned to God & asked for mercy he was known no more as Jacob but as -Israel >

(Gen 32:10 I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies, and of all the truth, which thou hast shewed unto thy servant;)
