Matt 6:15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
*I have found that obeying the following scriptures help me to let go of ill feelings & forgive.>
Matt 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
*This verse is a command of ‘action.’ Maybe you can’t make yourself feel love for your enemies, but you can show them love through your actions. You can be kind to them & ask God to help you pray for them. If you don’t feel love for them, you can still perform the action of love & it will help you to heal & then it is easier to forgive & forget. Forgiveness frees us from the yoke of bitterness that would grow in our heart.
