1 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.
2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.
3 And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
4 And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:
5 And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
6 He is not here, but is risen:
*He is an all powerful living supernatural God....He is ever victorious – you won’t find Him in dark, defeated places....you won’t find Him in dead places. You will find Him where there is Life & Light!
You won’t find Him in doubt, confusion, strife & unbelief!
Yes, He will come to you in your time of need when you find yourself in these places but if this is where you dwell, you will never be victorious!
1 Peter 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. lively = full of life
Heb 10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
Heb 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
*God expects us to trust His word...He has promised to be our comforter, our teacher & guide. He is our creator & Father! He loves us & will take care of us & keep us till the end if we will only trust in Him.
We can be confident that "...he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:" (Phil 1:6)
1 Peter 1:5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
*Hope – (faith) takes us thru to the end – there is no hope in dark, defeated places
