The Way, the Truth, the Life

● I am the way - into the holiest (by the offering of himself / his blood )

● the truth - law, covenant (Le.16;15 - Then shall he kill the goat of the sin offering , that is for the people, and bring his blood within the vail..... and sprinkle it upon the mercyseat ...)

He. 9:22... almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. (...the Spirit is truth - 1 Jn. 5:6)

● & the life - the life is in the blood (Le. 17:11)

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto (to) the Father, but by (thru) me. (Jn.10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved ..) *There is a formula or law to obey in order to enter into the kingdom of God. The method is, entering through the ‘door,’ which is Jesus. We must first believe in him & believe that His word is truth & we must obey His word. He reveals His sovereignty >

7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. (even now / this hr.)

8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth (satisfy) us.

9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen (met/ visited) the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

Heb 9:1-5

1 Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances (laws) of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary. (things that are worldly, are physical, not spiritual)

2 For there was a ^tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary. (dwelling place)

3 And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all; (veil = covering) The body of Jesus was the veil of God.

[^The first tabernacle: Exod 40:20-21 And he took and put the testimony (tables of the covenant) into the ark, and set the staves on the ark, and put the mercy seat above upon the ark:

21 And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the vail of the covering, and covered the ark of the testimony; as the LORD commanded Moses. ]

He. 9:4 Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;

5 And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly. (where God appeared in a cloud above the mercyseat / where the blood was offered) (Lev. 16:2, 16:13 -15)

Heb 9:6-14

6 Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.

7 But into the second (holiest of all) went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people: (He.9: 22...almost all things are by the law purged with blood; & without shedding of blood is no remission. (forgiveness)

8 The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing: (earthly building, holding the old covenant)

9 Which was a figure (physical form) for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; (...if that first covenant had been faultess, then should no place be sought for the second He.8:7 )

10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation. (regeneration/ conversion - time of the new covenant = Christ > from carnal to spiritual)

Heb.9:11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this (earthly,carnal) building; > Jesus was made a tabernacle for God (Made = formed, created)

Gal 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, (of reformation) God sent forth his Son, made of (formed, created) a woman, made under the law,

Phil 2:6 Who being in he form of God thought it not robbery to be equal with God.

7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: (a body of flesh)

Rom 1:3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;

Heb 2:16 For verily he took not on him the nature (form) of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. (made the veil of flesh, like unto Abraham)

17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made (formed) like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

Jn. 1:14 And the word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten (made to be) of the Father) full of grace and truth.

He. 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, (Holiest of all) having obtained eternal redemption for us.

Eph 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

I Jn. 1:7... the blood of Jesus Christ cleanseth us from all sin.

(Jn.19:34...one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood & water. >

I Jn 5:6-7 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. ("I am the truth")

7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one (Jn.10:30 - I and My Father Are One)
