Trust & Doubt Not

Matt 21:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

*We believe that God will forgive our sins & save us, right? We believe this because we read it in His Word & when we obey His doctrine of salvation, we feel like a new person. If we can believe His doctrine, why is it so hard to trust in the verses above?

Instead of declaring it done, we ‘hope’ that it is done. Our minds find it hard to comprehend the fact that we CAN have this kind of faith! Our thinking is usually, “What if I profess it & it doesn’t come to pass?” We often have a vision of HOW we think He will answer, so when He fails to intervene according to the method we anticipate, doubt sets in. We have to put absolute trust in His Will & His Way & patiently wait for His answer. Ultimately, we know that if we are truly a child of God, all things work for our good. (Rom. 8:28)

                                              ...........................................................

Ps 9:10...they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
Deut 4:29  But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
Jer 29:13  And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

*When we continually spend time with God in His Word & in Worship, His presence will permeate our heart & soul...When we pray in the spirit, He enters our thoughts & makes Himself known to us. It is then that we can humble ourselves before Him & allow Him to soften our heart, change our will & give us peace. However, we must be open to His will, even if what He reveals  to us in that moment is hard for us to receive. He might give us an answer that we weren’t expecting, maybe even a rebuke, but we must remember that He knows best! When we trust God with a compliant heart, there’s no limit to what He can accomplish in our life.
