WHAT IS CHURCH TO YOU?
A place to worship when it’s convenient?
Where you go because you feel guilty if you don’t?
A place to fellowship with family & friends?
A place that draws you to worship?
A place where you gain strength needed to live right?
A place where you learn about Jesus & His teachings?
A place where you feel peace, love & hope?
A place to go when you need prayer?
A place to drop in before you go out to eat?

Is it important to be on time / start on time?
Should it be treated with respect & reverence, as the house of God, or is it just a building?
Does it matter how you dress (present yourselves) at church?
Does it matter what the church looks like?

Ps 150:1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary...
Ps 149:1 Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints.
Ps 111:1 Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.
Ps 35:18 I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee among much people.
Ps 107:31 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
32 Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people,
Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Ps 89:7 God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.
*We can pray & worship at home. We can read & study the Bible at home. We can listen to sermons on tv or on the radio, but when we gather together in his name, he assures us that he is in attendance! > For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. Matt 18:20 *When he is present, things happen - people are saved, delivered, healed & blessed! When we’re in the presence of ‘anointed’ preaching, his power goes forth with that Word!
*If we regarded our job the same way we regard church, would we still be employed?
*Jesus went to church: And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
