Where Jesus Is

Updated: Apr 6, 2023

Matt 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. (united in harmony/one accord/ in the same mind)

Ps 22:3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest (dwells in) the praises of Israel. (born again believers)

2 Cor 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. (freedom...from captivity...anything that hinders)

(is = lives, breathes, happens, subsists =continues to be in use)

Eph 4:16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

*In Christ, the body is properly united /connected by the gifts, callings, & helps that supplies & furnishes the body according to the ability of every member, causing the body to grow toward building itself up in love.

*At Simon's house:

Mark 1:29 And forthwith, when they were come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.

30 But Simon's wife's mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell him of her.

31 And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them.

32 And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils.

•33 And all the city was gathered together at the door.

34 And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.

*Man with palsy:

Mark 2:1 And again he entered into Capernaum, after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house.

2 And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door:

3 And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.

*Jesus was healing those that made their way to him & when the man with palsy couldn't get to him for the crowd, those that carried him there let him down through the roof, because they knew that if they could just get where Jesus was, he would be healed. sometimes, we need to make a little more effort to get in his presence.

*Nobleman's son:

John 4:46 So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum

47 When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death.

48 Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.

49 The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die.

50 Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way.

51 And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth.

**We can't let the enemy hinder us when we need Jesus. We need only trust that when he is near, his healing power is near too.

*Bartimaeus:

Mark 10:46 And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.

47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

49 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.

50 And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.

51 And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.

52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus in the way.

*If Bartimaeus hadn't have cried out, Jesus would still have passed by. He was where Jesus was, he just had to let his voice be heard.

1. When he heard it was Jesus (Ro 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.)

2. He cried out, even tho many told him to be quiet; he would not be hindered

3. They're were others there, but only Bartimaeus caused him to stand still & be called

4. Jesus knew his need before he cried out

5. Jesus heard him the first time he cried out, but didn't respond until he cried louder

6. After he was healed, he followed Jesus.
