How are you seen by others?
2 Cor 3:2 Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:
3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
*You are a letter, making known to all men, what we have taught you. A letter written by the Spirit of God, showing forth Christ; not commandments written on stone, but the word of God written in your heart.
Titus 2:7 In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,
8 Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.
*In everything, showing yourselves to be examples of good deeds of every kind; in the doctrine (of Christ), being righteous, serious & sincere. Let everything you say be valid & right so no one can justly criticize you.
1 Tim 4:12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. *We might be the only Bible that some people see. If we are born again, the spirit of God dwells in us & we are led by that spirit. Our very lives can show forth the goodness of God; our conversation, behavior, appearance & attitude reveals what is in our heart. Gal 5:22-23 tells us that the fruit of the Spirit is “love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance...”
1 Jn 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
*This is how the children of God are known: doing what is right in all things
*This is how the children of the devil are known: committing sin & not showing love.
Rom 14:16 Let not then your good be evil spoken of:
1 Thess 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil. (the way something looks)
3 Jn 11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God. *See = to realize that something is true or exists / to have a clear understanding of something
1 Cor 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
Rom 13:13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, (unruly / lacking self control) not in chambering and wantonness, (lewd, immoral behavior) not in strife (fighting) and envying. (jealousy)
Matt 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
